Book Talks - Mrs. Null's class

Students have completed their Book Talk projects. We used the Green Screen program to record and publish each video. I created a Youtube playlist to allow you to view each student's selection. Click below to view the playlist.

Farley Food Pantry

Today students visited the Farley Food Pantry to deliver the food we collected. In total, we had over 160 items! Some students needed to carry two bags of food. Thank you all for your generosity. The project was truly an inspiring learning experience. Through it, we were able to discuss the importance of helping others in the community and how each person's actions can make a difference in the lives of others.

“ow” and “oa” can make the long “o” sound.

• If there is a consonant sound at the end of the word, use “oa”.
• If the long “o” sound is the very last sound you hear, use “ow.”

Food Pantry Project

First graders are working on a Service Learning Project to benefit our community. They worked in pairs to write a script that would help persuade families to donate food to other families in need.
